SIT finally gets custody of IMA scam main accused Mansoor Khan

Bengaluru: The Special Investigation Team (SIT) probing the multi-crore IMA scam has finally got custody of the main accused in the case, Mansoor Khan for investigation.

Through a court order, the SIT has got custody of Khan till August 16.

It can be recalled that so far, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) had custody of Khan and for the past three days, he was under judicial custody.

According to sources, the SIT is likely to grill Khan about his company, modus operandi and the officials who helped him mobilise the huge sum of money.

Led by senior IPS officer Ravikanthe Gowda, the team is expected to make huge progress in the investigation after recording Khan’s statement.

In the meanwhile, the SIT authorities, for a second time, grilled IPS officer Ajay Hilori in connection with the scam on Saturday evening.
