Bangalore :Chief Minister Siddharamaiah said here yesterday that there is no truth in former CM and JD(S) leader H.D. Kumaraswamy’s charge that the 2011 batch KPSC list of Gazetted Probationers may have been scrapped because a relative of Kempaiah, advisor to Home Minister K.J. George, had failed to clear the exams.

Speaking to the media, Siddharamaiah, taking a dig at the former CM, said that on one hand, Kumaraswamy says he is against corruption, but on the other, he questions the government’s decision to scrap the list, which is plagued by large-scale irregularities. He added that this gives room for suspicion whether the 2011 batch was selected through the JD(S) leader.

Stating that Kumaraswamy had joined the protestors as some of the candidates backed by him were selected by the KPSC, Siddharamaiah reiterated that there was no question of taking back the decision.

DCP (Crime and Traffic) M.M. Mahadevaiah, ACPs K.N. Madaiah, Prabhakar Barki, Jaimaruti and others were present during the rehearsal.
