Bengaluru: Chief Minister Siddaramaiah will commence visiting places in the city on May 24 to see how prepared is it for the coming monsoon.

It’s been always experienced by the public of Bengaluru every monsoon. Overflowing drainages, waterlogged roads and the list goes on. The CM himself will check the city this Tuesday.
Sources said that Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) will send an exclusive list of places which will be visited by Siddaramaiah.
With the onset of monsoon, the situation might get worse. In order to avoid criticism from opposition parties regarding the state government and BBMP’s unpreparedness for the rains, work like cleaning drains, filling potholes and clearing debris across the city is being done on full pace.
Monsoon monitoring cell
The State Government has established a Monsoon Monitoring Cell to rapidly address the various issues faced by citizens during monsoons.
In order to make this task force to be more accessible to the citizens, the Government has created an exclusive Twitter handle for the Monsoon Monitoring Cell, where the citizens can tweet their concerns.
The Monsoon Monitoring Cell can be reached @mmcblr on twitter. The citizens are requested to tweet their issues relating to the monsoons to this handle. Also, they can use the hash tag #Ready4MonsoonBengaluru2016, according to Dr Rathan Kelkar, Chief Executive Officer of the Centre for e-Governance.
