Bengaluru: Karnataka Chief Minister on Sunday, November 1, reiterated that he would consume beef if he wants to and that nobody has the right to question him.

Speaking to reporters during the diamond jubilee celebrations of Karnataka Rajyotsava, he said that he was not scared of the BJP or rightwing activists. “I have not eaten beef so far, but I am free to eat whenever and whatever I like. This is my fundamental right guaranteed under the Constitution,” he said.
The Chief Minister said that the BJP has a legacy of infringing on constitutional rights, therefore, they can never understand the depth of his statement.
He added that he will not bog down to the BJP and withdraw his statement on beef consumption. Siddaramaiah appealed to the education department to introduce lessons on morality, which emphasize secularism and unity. He also urged the public to teach their children to respect every religion.
