Bengaluru: In a big shocker for the BJP in the Bengaluru South Lok Sabha constituency, former deputy mayor Lakshmi Narayan quit the party and joined the Congress in the presence of KPCC president Dinesh Gundu Rao and Bengaluru South Lok Sabha candidate B K Hariprasad.
Speaking on the occasion, Lakshmi Narayan said that the Congress is not new to him. “It is a home coming. People know why I joined the BJP and what happened later,” he said.
In another set back for the BJP, Palani Swamy, husband of Dayananda Nagar ward BJP corporator Kumari, also joined the Congress. He joined the Congress in the presence of former CM Siddaramaiah.
