Bengaluru: Sri Vishvesha Theertha Swamiji, the current seer of the Sri Pejavara Adhokshaja Math, has stated that Shiroor Math Seer Laxmivara Theertha was so addicted to alcohol that he used to worship Lord Krishna after consuming liquor.

Speaking to media on August 29, Sri Vishvesha Theertha said that Shiroor had no qualities to become a monk and also added that the late seer had made some allegations against him. However, he clarified that the people know about and hence he did not find it necessary to give any justification.

“After the completion of the Chaturmas, I will be going to Kodogu flood victims and donating Rs 20 Lakh on behalf of Pejavar Matt Trust”, he said.

He assured that he would talk to experts from Kolar, Bengaluru and other regions regarding the Yethinahole Project. He further added that he was neither in favour of nor against Yethinahole Project.
