Bengaluru: Despite rumours of bickering among the coalition partners-the JD(S) and the Congress, the state government completed 100 days. An evidently elated CM HD Kumaraswamy flew to New Delhi to meet the AICC Chief Rahul Gandhi, not just to seek full co-operation in future, but also to keep a tab on Siddaramaiah.
Apprehensive about Siddaramaiah’s recent statements that he would go on to become the CM once again, Kumaraswamy turned to Rahul Gandhi, reportedly for reassurance and protection from any attempts by Siddaramaiah to dethrone him.
“Rahul Gandhi is happy about our performance. He has assured me that no one can unseat me. I will complete the full five-year term,” HDK told News18.
Putting up a show of unity, HDK further said that his equation with Siddaramaiah is cordial and the latter is guiding the government.
“He is our leader. There is no difference of opinion between us,” Kumaraswamy said.
The coalition government’s 100 days celebrations across the state is quite low key.
