Bengaluru: The Malleshwaram police have arrested a security guard of a private college for allegedly harassing women lecturers by sending them text messages from a mobile phone belonging to a college student.
The police, based on the complaint filed by one of the lecturers on January 13, tracked down the student, who said he had lent his phone to the security guard.
The police traced the accused Mahendra to his house in Hosakote.
According the police, Mahendra had borrowed the phone from the student for a few days on the pretext of borrowing the Internet. The accused later started sending sleazy messages to women lecturers.
The police also arrested the student who was later released on bail.
