Bangalore: At the backdrop of instructions from union government at the wake of security concerns arisen out of Muzaffarnagar violence in Uttar Pradesh, the security has been beefed up across Karnataka, said state home minister K J George.
Addressing the media persons, the minister George said that additional police force has been deployed across the state to maintain law and order as the public celebration of Ganeshotsav is under way, said minister George.
Any actions to destabilize communal harmony will be sternly dealt with. The peace meetings are being organized by the police in their area of jurisdiction with the purpose of none of the people belonging to different religious, caste and creed becomes victims of communal flare up, urged minister George.
The peace meetings are being convened in sensitive and most sensitive localities across the state in Bangalore, added minister George.
