Bangalore :  BJP MLA from Sagar Belur Gopalakrishna has decided to join the JD(S) finally. He has said he would be joining the party formally on Friday.

Speaking to reporters here, he said he had held talks with State JD(S) Chief HD Kumaraswamy and that he would contest from Sagar constituency itself. It is believed that the entry of Belur to the JD(S) would  strengthen the JD(S) in the region.  Soraba constituency  will have Madhu Bangarappa as the JD(S) candidate.

Though Belur Gopalkrishna had earlier planned to join the Congress, the stumbling block in the form of senior Leader Kagod Timmappa forced him to turn towards the JD(S).
