Bengaluru: PWD minister HD Revanna has said that he has ordered for an investigation based on allegations against a PWD engineer by Pallavi Akurathi, Joint Secretary to Government, Department of Personnel & Administrative, Reforms Department (Vigilance).
Speaking to reporters, Revanna informed that he has directed the additional chief secretary to the Public Works Department (PWD) to hold an enquiry and furnish a report. “The quarters work fall under the ambit of the department. But the underground drainage belongs to the BBMP. So I have ordered an investigation,” he stated.
Earlier, Akurathi lodged a complaint with the state government against PWD Assistant Engineer Girish, alleging that he didn’t attend her official residence repair works even after a number of calls and letters. This had created a flutter in the government circles as Akurathi is known as the no-nonsense officer.
