Bengaluru: The CID, which is probing the Chemistry question paper leak case took another accused into custody for interrogation on April 16.
Bengaluru University PHD student Nagendra’a friend Nagaraj is the accused.
Nagaraj who is being questioned by the officials is likely to be arrested and produced before the court.
According to sources, several private colleges might have joined hands with the racket involved in question paper leak case to enable prestigeous collges to achieve good results. Reportedly, all the colleges which were raided in connection with the question paper leak case had secured cent per cent results till now.
The accused were in touch with the kingpin Shivakumar from the past several years.
The CID is likely to raid few more colleges in connection to the leak case.
It may be recalled that the CID had arrested several accused including Manjunath, Obalaraju, Rudrappa, two PT teachers, Anil and Satish. The suspected kingpin of the scam – Shivakumar Swamy, a former lecturer and also the prime accused in 2012 question paper leak case is yet to be traced.
