Bengaluru: After all the hue and cry around the chemistry question paper leak, the PU Education Department is likely to be at the receiving end for yet another goof up.
Sources reveal that for the re-examination scheduled on March 31, the department had smugly lifted an old question paper and re-printed it.
The rescheduled exam was cancelled after the questions were leaked a second time, leading to widespread outrage.
It is said that the department did not even bother preparing a fresh question paper for the re-exam, even as the procedures demand the department officials to call subject experts and get a fresh set of question papers prepared.
It did not even bother to change the printer, reports The New Indian Express and adds that the printer’s name is confidential, and the printed question papers are transported to district and taluk treasuries four or five days before the exam. This year, the papers were transported on March 7, a full two weeks before the exam.
