Bengaluru: In a tit for tat tactics, several agitating PU lecturers gave the slip to government on receiving evaluation orders and walked straight towards Freedom Park to participate in the on-going protest.

Fussed by such act, officials of PU board are left with a frisky dilemma which had even worried students and government as well.

Speaking to News Karnataka, one of the anonymous protesters, said that today’s move was preplanned and has widely got approval from many agitators through social media especially, Whatsapp after the conciliation talks failed yesterday evening.

“We are not going to stop those lecturers, whether from private institutes or government colleges who are willing to go ahead for evaluation,” he added.

Meanwhile, Ninge Gowda, PU lecturers’ association general secretary said that the on-going hunger strike will continue till their demands are met.

Family members of agitators have joined hands in the support in large numbers.

With this, the government is now keeping its fingers crossed as the alternative evaluation plan is not going hand in glove as expected, an insider told News Karnataka.
