Mysuru: The Department of Pre-university Education has made all the necessary arrangements for the commencement of evaluation work here from Tuesday. Evaluation of arts and commerce scripts had been scheduled at seven centres (camps) in Mysuru.

Meanwhile, the stand-off between the government and the agitating PU lecturers is expected to be resolved in a day or two.

The DPUE has sent messages to the private college lecturers to report to evaluation work and if they fail, then the department would be taking action under Section 122 of Karnataka Education Act. Following intimation from the DPUE, the college managements relieved their lecturers from the CET coaching and assigned them for the evaluation work.

Even though the department had announced that it would start evaluation from Tuesday, the coding and decoding work has not been completed in Mysuru since many principals abstained to report on Sunday.

The department which is in a fix on how to deal with the issue, will be taking alternative arrangements for coding and decoding procedure if principals don’t turn up even on Tuesday.

Each evaluation camp requires about 300 lecturers for the work.

The department has made arrangements for the evaluation work at St Philomena’s College, Marimallappa’s PU College, Gopalaswamy PU College, JSS College, J P Nagar, Vijaya Vittala College and Mahajana PU College.
