Bangalore:A few writers and leaders of various fields have decided to stage a protest near the Anand Rao Circle in Bangalore on October 16, Wednesday at 6 pm opposing the conspiracy of some people in tarnishing the image of Dharmasthala Dharmadhikari Dr D Veerendra Heggade.
Speaking to reporters here writer Kamala Hampana has said that the protest will be held near the Mahatma Gandhi statue at Anand Rao Circle on behalf of the devotees of Sri Kshetra Dharmasthala.
She said the government must entrust the Sowjanya murder case to CBI and added they were however against any attempt to tarnish the image of Dr Heggade or his family members. She said allegations are hurled against the Heggade family members even though they were abroad when the incident took place.
BL Shanker, Chitrakala Parishat President said it was not proper to link the Sowjanya murder case to the activities of the Kshetra and added he too was an old student of SDM institutions and had observed the activities there were close quarters.
He said the CID report in the Sowjanya case will be out in 15 days and added the case can be handed over to the CBI if the family of Sowjanya was not happy with the report. He also requested them to stop hurling allegations against Dr Heggade.
