Bengaluru: The Special Investigation Team (SIT) probing the alleged sex scandal involving JDS MP Prajwal Revanna has received a significant response, with the International Criminal Police Organization (Interpol) acknowledging its blue corner notice on Monday. Interpol has notified all 196 member countries to identify and report any sightings of Prajwal Revanna at their ports.
The state government issued a Blue Corner Notice on Sunday against Prajwal Revanna, who is facing serious allegations of sexually abusing several women. A Blue Corner Notice is issued by Interpol to gather additional information from member countries regarding a person’s identity, location, or activities related to a crime.
The notice was issued after Prajwal reportedly traveled to Germany following, the issue came to fore and a request from Karnataka State Commission for Women chairperson Nagalakshmi Chowdhary to the CM for an investigation into the sexual allegations against Prajwal.
Last week, Prajwal Revanna’s anticipatory bail application was denied by the People’s Representative Court in Bengaluru. Previously, father HD Revanna, who also an MLA from Holenarasipura was remanded to Karnataka SIT custody in a kidnapping-related sex scandal case.
