
Bengaluru: The Karnataka Electricity Regulatory Commission (KERC) will begin public consultations on the proposed power tariff hike on February 19 by Bengaluru Electricity Supply Company and other electricity entities in the state. The first meeting will be held in the commission’s new office – inaugurated on Friday – on Miller’s Road.
“Consultation for the other Escoms will be held at their respective headquarters,” said M K Shankaralinge Gowda, KERC chairman, on the sidelines of the inauguration of the new office. “We will take a call on a reasonable tariff structure after the hearings are completed.” Bescom has proposed a hike of 83 paise per unit for the year 2018-19.
