Bengaluru: Power Star Puneeth Rajkumar will work as the brand ambassador of the backward Chamarajanagar district.

He will work towards promoting the distinct on the tourism map while creating awareness about the social evils, developmental issues etc.

On Saturday evening, district in-charge minister S Suresh Kumar, who is also the primary and secondary education minister met Puneeth Rajkumar at his residence and discussed about the initiative. 

Puneeth Rajkumar readily agreed and assured the minister all possible help from his side.

Chamarajanagar DC MR Ravi was present on the occasion.

It is to be noted that it is for the time time that a district has received a brand ambassador.

At the time of meeting, Puneeth Rajkumar recalled the bond between his family and Chamarajanagar district and said that his father, thespian, Late Dr Raj Kumar was born and brought up in Chamarajanagar district.
