Police solve double murder case

Bengaluru: The city police have cracked the double murder case which came to light on Sunday at Coles Park Road in Frazer town with the arrest of an electrician.

The arrested is Premchand Jain (35), an electrician by profession and a known person for the victims’ family for over 15 years.

The victims Parvathraj (61) and his wife Chandrakala (55) were murdered last Friday and incident came to light only on Sunday after filthy smell started emanating from the house.

The arrested Premchand had confessed of his dire act with his associate called Chandrashekar who is still on the run.

The duo had taken Rs 50,000 cash and gold ornaments after the act which has been recovered now.

The plot:
The deceased couple were into private money lending business and had lent money to Premchand several times earlier also.

This time Premchand hatched a plot to loot the couple by hook or crook.

Hence, he knew the couple for a long time and was also aware that their kin was abroad, he decided to kill them.

He called up the couple on Friday noon and said his friend needs money and was ready to pledge gold ornaments for that.

Trusting Premchand, they asked both to visit home by evening with gold ornaments.

The duo promptly went to the couple’s house and took them to the terrace and stabbed them repeatedly.

According to the police, Chandrakala was stabbed 25 times before slitting her throat.

DCP (east) Satish Kumar said that Premchand Jain’s call to the couple on Friday noon asking for money gave a path breaking clue to crack the case. The other accused will be arrested at the earliest possible time, he added.
