Bengaluru: The Kengeri police, who had recently arrested two youths for allegedly killing a 35-year-old conservancy worker, have claimed that the accused also strangulated a construction labourer in March and robbed him of Rs. 2,000.

The police have identified the accused as Pratap, 20 and Madesha, 22. The police said the accused dumped the body in a drain. The second murder was revealed when the police took the two men to the spot where they had murdered the conservancy in Srinivapura village.

During the inspection, the villagers informed the police that they had seen the accused ripping up posters that sought information on the deceased labourer. “When we questioned the men, they confessed that they had killed Shivakumar, a 30-year-old labourer,” the officer added.
