
Bengaluru: A woman employee caught a 24-year-old housekeeping staff of an IT firm in Indiranagar clandestinely recording videos of women in the office on his mobile phone.
The policed have identified the accused as Dharmendra Kumar Yadav, from Uttar Pradesh, working in the firm for the past few months. The police said Dharmendra was caught red-handed when he took a picture of a woman staff while she was at work. When her colleagues took his mobile phone, they found hundreds of pictures and a few videos of female staff.
The police said the pictures and videos were taken between December 20 and January 11. The accused placed his mobile phone in toilets and other places and took photos and videos of women techies.
“We have registered a case of punishment for voyeurism (under Section 354C of the Indian Penal Code) based on the complaint lodged by a software engineer. Dharmendra was produced before the court, which remanded him in judicial custody,” the Indiranagar police said.
