Bengaluru: On Friday, there is a five-kilometer radius around the KIADB aerospace park near the airport where unmanned objects such as drones, balloons, unmanned aerial vehicles, and unmanned aircraft systems cannot be flown.
On Thursday, Bengaluru Police Commissioner B Dayananda issued an order to that effect.
According to the order, aerial objects that are capable of carrying explosives may be used as weapons or surveillance tools to threaten, damage, kill, and destroy property as well as people.
On Friday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be in Bengaluru to officially open Boeing’s largest facility outside of the United States. The facility is located in the KIADB aerospace park, close to Kempegowda International Airport.
