Bengaluru: As a part of the BJP’s nationwide celebrations to mark the completion of two years of its government at the Centre, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be visiting Davangere and addressing a rally on May 29.

State BJP president B?S?Yeddyurappa made the announcement at a party convention here on Saturday.

The BJP is ensuring to build a platform for the next Assembly elections. Modi’s visit would encourage the party workers.

It is being said that Davangere is strategically chosen as it is a Lingayat. Lingayats form the vote base of the BJP.
