Bengaluru: The ambulance had set out to save life of an ailing patient and ultimately, the patient died in the ambulance after the vehicle rammed into a bus on Friday morning.

The deceased is identified as Eeramma (46), a native of Sanduru.

The accident occurred at Navayug toll gate on Bangalore-Tumakur highway. According to police, the ambulance rammed onto a private bus from the rear side. The deceased Eeramma was suffering from heart related illness and was being shifted to Bangalore for better medication. Two others are also injured in the accident and are being treated at a nearby hospital.
