Bengaluru: The state BJP faces another challenge as five MLAs, including Basanagouda Patil Yatnal and Ramesh Jarkiholi, abstained from the legislature party meeting for the opposition leader’s election. BJP MLA Aravind Bellada emphasized that individuals from North Karnataka should be prioritized for the opposition leader position in the assembly.
Recognition should have been given to North Karnataka, stated Arvind Bellad. He highlighted that both the BJP state president and the opposition leader hail from South Karnataka, and their stance has already been communicated. Emphasizing unity, he mentioned that winning next time would not be a personal triumph but a collective victory for Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
