Bangalore : KPCC President Dr G Parameshwar has clarified that the Congress has not given membership to Dinaker Shetty who was one of the accused in the Mangalore pub attack case.

Speaking to reporters after inducting former Harihara MLA Harish and others to the party, Parameshwar said Dinaker Shetty wished to get inducted to the party in Mangalore. But, he was denied a membership as he faced serious charges.

 Hours after the BJP inducted Sri Rama Sene Chief Pramod Mutalik and then expelled him, the Congress had inducted Mutalik confidante Dinaker Shetty and then expelled him.

Parameshwar said the party has not taken any hasty decision on induction of Dinaker Shetty and added his membership has been cancelled no sooner allegations were heard against him.
