Bengaluru: Chief Minister Kumaraswamy clarified that there was no confusion about the extension of the cabinet and made it clear that there was no need of advisers to the home ministry as the officers were sincere enough to perform their duty.

Speaking to media at the Vidhana Soudha on May 31, HDK said that the administrative machinery needed to work faster in the state. “We have concentrated on providing better administration than just the formation of the cabinet”, he said.

It may be recalled that the Siddaramaiah government had appointed Kempaiah as an adviser to the home ministry. JDS, along with the BJP had opposed the move and also objected to his decisions.

Kumaraswamy also said that a discussion would be held with Congress on June 1 regarding cabinet expansion and a final decision taken there. “All the information will be revealed in a joint press meet”, he added.
