Bangalore: Mukyamantri Chandru, chairman of Kannada Development Authority severely criticized the officers of state-owned enterprises for their failure in erecting signboards in 3 languages.
Chandru expressed dissatisfaction with the lethargy of officers this regard, while on his visit to BEL and BHEL. He advised the officers to compulsorily follow Kannada in day-to-day administration of state-owned and private enterprises. He further said that he is visiting the enterprises to review the progress in introducing Kannada and implementing Dr Sarojini Mahishis repport to erect signboards in 3 languages, to provide employment to locals and to maintain co-ordial relations between employees of state-owned and private enterprises.
Kannada Development Authority will consider the issue of not erecting signboards in 3 languages, although Kannada signboards were erected outside the main entrance of BEL and BHEL; the inside of their premises English signboards are prominently displayed. Kannada Development Authority will continue the visit to different industries throughout the year, said Chandru.
