Bengaluru: Mangaluru MP Nalin Kumar Kateel will take charge as the new president of the BJP’s Karnataka unit today at 10.30 AM.

Incumbent state unit president, Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa will hand over the party flag to him as a mark of the transfer of the power. The event will be held at the Jagannatha Bhavan in Malleshwaram.

Prior to taking charge, Nalin will offer special prayers at the Kadumalleshwara temple of the city.

All the senior ministers and RSS leaders are expected to participate in the event.
