Minister Roshan Baig gets clean chit from Lokayukta

Bangalore: State Minister R Roshan Baig, who  is facing charges of  land grabbing and possession of illegal wealth, has got a clean chit from the Lokayukta police.

The Lokayukta police submitted a report to the special court stating that the allegation made against the Minister has not been proven as no evidence was found as per the information.

Earlier,  Abdul Haq Surathi, a resident of Shivajinagar, in a private complaint registered with the police had accused Minister R Roshan Baig of illegally obtaining one-acre plot at Begur where a  software firm of  Karnataka State Electronics Development Corporation Limited (KEONICS)  was supposed to come up.

 It is known that before the registration, Baig had  entered into an agreement with a real estate firm and constructed a commercial complex there.
