Bangalore: State Minister R Roshan Baig, who is facing charges of land grabbing and possession of illegal wealth, has got a clean chit from the Lokayukta police.
The Lokayukta police submitted a report to the special court stating that the allegation made against the Minister has not been proven as no evidence was found as per the information.
Earlier, Abdul Haq Surathi, a resident of Shivajinagar, in a private complaint registered with the police had accused Minister R Roshan Baig of illegally obtaining one-acre plot at Begur where a software firm of Karnataka State Electronics Development Corporation Limited (KEONICS) was supposed to come up.
It is known that before the registration, Baig had entered into an agreement with a real estate firm and constructed a commercial complex there.
