Mahadayi row: Pro-Kannada organisations call for state-wide bundh on July 28

Bengaluru: Several pro-Kannada organizations have called for Karnataka Bandh on Thursday, July 28, protesting against the interim verdict of Mahadayi water dispute tribunal.
The Karnataka Rakshana Vedike (KRV), Vital Kannada Paksha, Jaya Karnataka and others have called for state wide bandh on Thursday. The organizations are planning to hold protest rally across the city and rail and rastha rokho protest are also on cards as part of protest.

The leaders have expressed anger against the state government for not putting forth the convincing reason and importance of Mahadayi project in the interest of state.

Meanwhile, the state government is considering to go for special leave petition after ascertaining the legal opinion, sources said.
