Bengaluru: The Lokayukta special court has dismissed an Interlocutory Applications (IAs) for inclusion of former Lokayukta Justice Y Bhaskar Rao as a co-accused in the cases of extortion and corruption charge sheeted by the Special Investigation Team (SIT).
In his three IAs, an industrialist named Alam Pasha has said that the three charge sheets comes across to be more of an ‘eye-wash’ as none of them filed by the SIT has not considered Justice Rao as a co-accused despite evidence.
He further stated that there were ample evidences to proceed against Justice Rao, adding that statements of certain witnesses prove that Justice Rao was not only aware of the scam but also attempted to harbour the accused.
Lokayukta special court judge V G Bopaiah on Thursday dismissed the application stating that there were not sufficient material to establish the link between Justice Rao and the rest of the accused.
