Bengaluru: Bengaluru police have issued notice to Latha Rajnikanth, wife of super star Rajnikanth following charges for fraud, here on Sunday.
An ad firm has pulled up wife of Tamil superstar charging her of fraudulent activities. Though she was also called for investigation for reportedly writing a letter on a fake letter head, she missed out both the dates. The police have now sent her the notice again.
The issue dates back to 2014, around release of Rajnikanth’s much hyped film Kochadaiiyan, which did not see box office success. The family of Rajnikanth too faced financial trouble following the release of the film and Latha had reportedly given clarification through a letter written to all those who faced financial difficulties.
Ad-bureau Advertising Private Limited alleged that the letter was written on a fake letter head and that the rights of the movie was sold twice. Latha had submitted a plea to implement Gag Order, preventing media from splashing the news, in which she found relief, as the court had implemented it. But that relief did not last for long as a stay order was passed by the Madras High Court on previous court orders.
Later, the Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Court of Bengaluru had ordered the police to file a First Information Report (FIR) against Latha.
Now, that the case is being handled by the Halasuru Gate Police, they have strictly ordered Latha through a notice, that she shall be present on May 20 for the investigation of this case.
