Bengaluru: Karnataka State Remote Sensing Applications Centre in collaboration with the department of health and family welfare has developed a mobile application to identify the nearest Pulse Polio immunisation centre. Health Minister Shivanand Patil launched the application on Wednesday.

The app titled ‘Nearby Vaccination centre, Karnataka’ can be downloaded from Google Play. The app is enabled with information on polio vaccination date and time and routine immunisation, vaccination hospitals, etc.

The state government has decided to administer Pulse Polio vaccine on March 10, to 65 lakh children below 5 years of age across the state.
