
Bengaluru: The Karnataka government has proposed plasma banks in all the district hospitals which are now notified as Covid 19 hospitals to treat new patients. A decision in this regard was announced after reports emerged from the North Indian states that the cured patients are not coming forward to donate plasma.
“We are planning to set up plasma banks in all the district hospitals of the state. It can be used in multiple places. The idea is bringing down the hospitalisation period of the Covid 19 patients,” said B Sreeramulu. He also informed that plasma therapy will be started in all the districts. “The doctors will be guided through the tele medicine system when ever required,” he said.
