Bengaluru: L Narayanamurthy, senior judge of Karnataka high court has been appointed as the new Chief Justice of Himachal High Court. The union law ministry issued an order in this regard based on the recommendation made by the collegium headed by the Chief Justice of Supreme Court.

Narayanamurthy, a native of the Chithradurga district started his career as a High Court judge in the year 1987. He was the in-charge chief justice of the High Court between January and May 2019.
