Bengaluru: Rahul Dravid’s son Samit has scored a century in an under-14 tournament in Bengaluru on Wednesday.
The tournament- Tiger Cup Match attempts to spread awareness on tigers among school-going children.
Samit, who will turn 11 in October this year was playing for Bangalore United Cricket Club (BUCC) against Frank Anthony Public School.
Dravid Jr featured in a 213-run stand with Pratyush G, who was unbeaten on 143. BUCC scored a 246-run win after Frank Anthony were all out for 80.
It may be recalled that Samit was named Best Batsman in the under-12 Gopalan Cricket Challenge in September 2015 when he scored three fifties and that included a 93.
However, Samit’s father Rahul Dravid is currently busy mentoring a Delhi Daredevils team that is yet to hit the straps in IPL 2016.
Dravid’s name did the rounds recently when BCCI started its hunt for a full-time coach after Ravi Shastri’s contract as Team India director expired at the end of the ICC World T20.
