Bengaluru: The JD(S) and BJP alliance in the state is strong and will continue in the coming days, said JD(S) Core Committee President GT Deve Gowda.
Speaking to reporters here on Thursday, GT Deve Gowda addressed the news circulating that the BJP is maintaining distance from the JD(S) after Prajwal Revanna’s alleged sex scandal came to light. He dismissed these rumors as baseless and asserted that their alliance is going strong.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah are ruling the country, and they have never abandoned any alliance party. He cited Nitish Kumar’s example, who returned to the NDA fold after being with the opposition alliance INDIA bloc for a while.
“If we had supported Prajwal or if we had made any mistake, they could have thought about ending the alliance, but our stand is clear and firm: those who did wrong should be punished. Hence, the question of ending the alliance will not arise,” he said.
