Bengaluru: The JDS and Congress may have described the recent IT raids on the residences of JDS leaders’ relatives and officials close to PWD minister H D Revanna as a politically motivated move. However, if sources in the IT are to be believed, the officials have seized Rs 6.50 crores from a bank locker belonging to a relative of JDS supremo H D Deve Gowda, whose house was also raided.

According to sources, the industrialist didn’t mention details of his bank locker either in his IT returns or with the bank authorities. When IT officials opened the locker, they found a large sum of money.

“The IT raids are expected to unearth more such black money soon,” informed sources in the department.
