Bangalore: State Minister for Information Santosh Lad who is facing charges of involvement in the illegal mining case, has been asked by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah to tender his resignation. It has been reliably gathered that Lad may quit today.
However, Santosh Lad has clarified that he has not been asked by anyone to resign so he has not taken any decision until now to quit.
Sources said that CM has asked Lad to quit as fears that opposition parties may target government over the issue in winter session of the assembly, which will begin in Belgaum from Monday.
