Bengaluru: Celebrated IPS officer D Roopa, the Special Investigation Team (SIT) led by Anucheth which cracked the activist and journalist Gauri Lankesh murder, writers Champa, actor Mukhyamantri Chandru are selected for the annual Kempegowda award of the BBMP.

A total of 70 achievers are selected for this award given away by the BBMP. The award will be conferred on September 4 by Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa.

A committee led by former Judge Justice Sadashiva has selected the achievers for this award.
