Bengaluru: A High court order directing BBMP staff for removal of illegally erected flexes and banners across the city was well appreciated by Bengalureans.
However their joy was short-lived since within a day of the BBMP drive, during which more than 19,000 flexes and banners were removed from across the corporation limits, the banners and flexes seemed to resurface again.
On Sunday morning the BBMP authorities registered multiple cases in connection with installing flexes and the banners.
At Rajarajeshwarinagar ward, local BJP leaders have installed flexes extending birthday wishes to corporator M Nalini. Based on the information shared by the locals, the BBMP authorities have registered an FIR.
Meanwhile, the BBMP authorities have locked more than 40 flex printing units across the city to ensure that no one will get a chance to print the flexes and the banners. The authorities informed that the drive will continue until removal of all the illegal hoardings, flexes and banners.
