Bengaluru: An M.Tech student of Indian Institute of Science (IISc) in the city committed suicide in his hostel room.

The deceased is Sandeep Kumar, 24, a resident of Raipur in Chhattisgarh. He was found hanging in his room.

According to the police, he was under pressure. In an email sent to his father, he had informed that he is scared as he has Covid-19 like symptoms.

Malleshwaram police registered a case and launched an investigation into cause of the suicide.
