Bengaluru: A man has been arrested in connection with the murder of a 32-year-old software engineer at her apartment in Kadugodi on Tuesday night.
Sukhbeer Singh was arrested in Gurgaon in Haryana by six teams which were specially formed to nab the accused.
Kusuma Rani, a native of Punjab was staying alone in an apartment in Brindavan Layout. She was an IBM employee. The murder came to light when one of her friends visited her apartment.
The accused and the victim met through Facebook and it is learnt that he entered her flat on January 19 and escaped with her Credit card, Debit card, cheque books and a mobile phone after strangulating her to death.
Bengaluru city police commissioner N S Megharikh led the city police team carried the operation.
