
Bengaluru: The Indian Air Force (IAF) sent the black box of the Dassault Mirage
2000 to France for decoding. The Mirage 2000 had crashed in the city’s outskirts, on February 1 killing two pilots.
According to the authorities, in the accident, the black box of the flight was damaged and hence it was decided to send it to France for decoding. The Hindustan Aeronautical Limited and Indian Air Force are jointly holding an investigation.
Squadron Leader Samir Abrol and Squadron Leader Siddhartha Negi, both from Aircraft and Systems Testing Establishment, died in the incident that occurred when both these pilots were conducting acceptance sortie of the newly upgraded Mirage-2000 trainer jet
