Bangalore:Bellary MLA Anil Lad criticized state Congress leaders for giving ministerial berth to Santosh Lad who has been involved in illegal mining and also sought ministerial berth to himself.

Addressing the media persons during a press meet held at Bellary, MLA Anil said that he is systematically and intentionally sidelined by Congress.  Meanwhile, Anil urged Congress leaders to clarify why they had issued ticket for him to contest in the recently held assembly elections if he was tainted, urged Anil.

‘When I was in BJP, a book titled Anil Lad and Chalis Chor was authored against me.  I will make it public in the coming days, why I deserted BJP,’ said Anil.

‘I have not been involved in any illegality/crime.  If in case they have documents of my wrongdoing, let them prove it.  Instead of that, it’s unfair to defame me intentionally,’ Anil expressed anguish.

The Lokayukta who has probed the alleged illegal mining case, included the name of Santosh Lad in his report.  I am intentionally sidelined by giving ministerial berth to Santosh.  At this situation I feel awkward to continue in Congress party, added Anil.
