Bengaluru: The CCB sleuths have arrested three persons including a woman on Thursday who used to honey trap wealthy persons in the city, sometimes even posing as CID sleuths.

The arrested are Nisha alias Yasmin Taj, Yathish alias Mh. Iliaz and Basavaraja.

Trio operated in filmy style to con people posing as CCB police and extorted money from wealthy persons.

Modus operandi

According  to police, Nisha, with several pseudonyms, used to approach wealthy people, befriend them first before honey-trapping them in their own residences.

She used to ‘flirt’ and make them half naked and take photographs and blackmail them for money.

Three more gang members are still at large.
