Bengaluru: JDS supremo HD Deve Gowda and All India Congress Committee (AICC) president Rahul Gandhi will finalise the Congress-JDS seat sharing agreement for the upcoming Lok Sabha election today, March 6.

Both the leaders will meet at RaGa’s house for breakfast and discuss the seat sharing agreement. Interestingly, in this meeting none of the state Congress leaders are participating.

“After the meeting, a clear picture on the seat sharing agreement will be available,” said a JDS leader.

According to the sources, the JDS is pressing for 12 seats while the Congress state unit leaders are not ready to give more than six seats to the JDS considering the fact that possibility of JDS canddiates winning in most constituencies is less.

The Congress is also not ready to leave any of the 10 Lok Sabha seats it won in the 2014 election, including Bengaluru Rural and Chikkaballapura. However, the JDS leaders are demanding these two seats saying they are party’s strong bastions.
