Groom Goes on an Electric Scooter Instead of Horse

Another “Peak Bengaluru” event occurred recently when a man from the area chose a more modern form of transportation for his distinctive baraat instead of the customary horse. This man quickly went viral online. The man, flanked by his supportive friends and family, took the recently-released Ather Rizta electric scooter for his baraat, as seen in the images and videos posted on social media.

Clad in a sherwani, shades, and a festive turban, the groom appears to be having a great time on his green electric scooter, which is adorned with a white paint job. According to rumors, the groom invented the Rizta e-scooter while working as an employee of Ather. Particularly in the two-wheeler market, the popularity of electric vehicles has grown.

Given that two of India’s biggest producers of electric two-wheelers are based in Bengaluru, this occurrence highlights the increased acceptance that EVs have been receiving in recent times, following their initial struggles to acquire traction.

In relation to scooters, the EV manufacturer has introduced the Rizta family scooter, which starts at Rs 1.10 lakh, ex-showroom. Three different models of the Rizta are available: the 2.9 kWh Rizta S and Z, as well as the 3.7 kWh top-end Rizta Z. It gives up the angular, aerodynamic styling of its 450 series siblings in favor of a more utilitarian design that has a boxy appearance, but it still has a narrow light bar at the back and a sleek LED headlamp up front.

The 2.9 kWh pack Rizta has a stated range of 123 km, but its actual range is 105 km. On the other hand, the 3.7 kWh unit has a claimed range of 160 km, while its actual range is 125 km. The top speed of all versions is stated to be 80 kmph.
